How can I prepare current affairs for IAS?

For any exam preparing the Current Affairs section is a mammoth task given the span of it. It includes almost everything under the sun. BUT you must accept that you can not remember each and everything. Hence , do not cover 3–4 magazines like Vision then your coaching book let , then yojna kurukshetra Frontline etc etc etc. It will not help at all !!!

In stead pick a decent magazine with good enough coverage - Vision Monthly is something I follow and prefer but it’s totally up to you. BUT pick only one of these!!

Read it once , highlight important parts in itself , do not go for making notes out of it. Na , not required !!

Revise it at least three times after first read. This will serve the purpose otherwise one read and a false satisfaction that I have covered current affairs , will lead to disastrous results ;-))

Apart from this just follow one Newspaper The Hindu or Indian Express and try to make very very brief notes wherever necessary GS paper wise. Revise this also 2–3 times.

Apart from this there is no need to go after Xerox piles of ORN or multiple websites and their free , semi-paid , paid and overly paid mocks ;-))

Keep it simple and doable and Do It!!
